A 'will be selling my car soon' heads up

Featured Replies

Rather than putting one of those ads in the FS section saying 'testing the water' etc I thought I'd mention it here of my intentions

I cba going into the reasons why as they are personal but - wow what a car it is and it does not have one single blemish

Its one of the last made/registered - nov 2014 Combi vRS in Moon white, black pack, amundsen, pdc, nav, Bluetooth and its done just 3k miles

Not sure on price so any advice/offers appreciated.

Ill be staying on the forum as Ive just bought the wife a Roomster Black edition, and I'll likely be getting and Octavia

Dream up your most optimistic price. Put a proper ad in the appropriate section. See if you get any offers. Reduce the price if you don't. Keep reducing it until it sells.

One thing is for sure, selling so soon will have a massive hit on depreciation. If the car is on finance I'd be surprised if you get anywhere near the current settlement figure.

Nah no finance. Always buy outright.

Yeah i accept ill lose money but thats how it is with new cars.

Put a well designed and printed 'For Sale' Signs on the car and leave it parked and beautifully detailed and turned out at your business premises and see if there are any interested parties contact you.

Contact a Skoda or Seat Dealership and see if the are interested in buying it as a straight purchase.

& try the same at Independent Used car Dealerships that need to buy stock from someplace.

As Skoda Dealers are having to try very hard to get Octavias sold and are dropping prices,

are there none willing to give a Price to Change that makes sense with them taking the Fabia?

GumTree is free and worth a punt? I sold a car there quickly for a surprisingly good price although I did have to field quite a few time-wasters.

Thanks for the opinions chaps.

Current example on Skoda UK website: http://www.skoda.net.r66.co.uk/carview.aspx?id=605065866   Feb 2014, 400 miles * (?) £12995 met grey

Only one on their site currently - so quite unique.

Haven't checked Autotrader.

Sorry just noticed I repeated another member comments.(Chorlton)

Shame that you are moving it on- are you still having back problems?

Its a long story why but it basically centers around my one of my children and ease of access etc and this is also linked to the cause of my back issues and also why we bought a roomster too

Was hoping this thread my find someone on the lookout save the hassle of an advert etc.

I think 11ish is realistic.

Great shame Wakey.

Pitch at approx. £11750, then hope. It's worth it and more.

Best of luck !

Bugger, i bought mine in feb, couldn't find hardly any estates at the time and yours looks a bargain, good luck :)
