I loved that arm rest when I took delivery of the VRS. Now three months on, I have bruised my ribs for the THIRD time leaning over the thing, to get stuff from the glovebox 

 

Anyone else think this is a 'simply clever' way by Skoda to introduce injuries 

I seem to be ok with it, do you slide it all the way back before attempting a glovebox manoeuvre?

There are..., ahem 'other' in cabin manoeuvres that it gets in the way of too...  

Not fortunate enough to have had the opportunity. :(
