I bought the car from Vindis Cambridge in September 2012. It was an ex demonstrator and was being run by one of the sales managers so is very high spec. It had Scotts Safeguard paint and interior protection applied.

Registered in March 2012. Registration AF12 XES. I ran it on private plates until a few days ago.

Additional options.

• Full leather with heated front seats
• Columbus Sat Nav
• Front and rear parking sensors
• Maxidot
• Xenon headlights with AFS
• Cruise control
• Multifunctional steering wheel
• Bluetooth
• iPod connectivity
• Carbon look trim

Current mileage is 49685. It has a full main dealer service history (DSG oil change done at 40k miles). MOT until March 2016. Other than routine servicing and tyres it has not required any further work.

Tyres: Fronts Vredstein Ultrac Sessanta (approx 6mm tread). Rears Hankook Ventus Evo (approx 2.5mm tread).

My only modification is a Revo stage one map (Dec 2014). The car has been completely transformed since then. There is so much torque readily available! This was done at Quattro Tech in St Ives, Cambridgeshire. They have left the option to return to the original map FOC at any time (you wouldn't want to do that though!).

It is fairly frugal given the performance on tap. I manage to get around 400 miles from a full tank. 30mpg in town and high 30s on a run. It has only been filled with Tesco Momentum or Shell V Power since I have owned it.

I sold my VRS on here in January and had a similar experience from someone who had no interest in buying my car but wanted to chip in with an irrelevant comment. My buyer has since remapped the car and said it was in better condition than cars which he'd viewed and were 2 years newer. Your VRS seemed a very good deal considering the spec.

Good price that, just what I'm looking for for my next car.

I saw you had it at a higher price than what it was now, and wasn't far off (edit: the wisebuyer price suggestions I mean).

At the price you finally sold it off I've have been very interested - always late to the party me!

 

(my budget stretched so was hoping for around the £9k mark and guess what you dropped the price and it sold! I should have emailed but didn't want to risk offence with a low ball offer!)

Maybe next time eh !

Still not a bad price to start negotiation, 2012 model with nearly all the toys but it would always be in the back of my mind that I could of had it for £9.5k (which admittedly was almost giving it away!)

Seems Availablecar bought it at auction around 11 days ago, so looks like the original buyer turned it around pretty sharp :(
