Do you mean you've had your remap, then asked your insurance company for cover and they've told you where to go?

ive never bothered about the mods ive ever put on my car . Ive taken the remap off until im covered.

Not that you'd have covered anyway, if you haven't bothered declaring any of the other modifications.

I now use Chris Knott, as advertised on this site, with no problem. The price with them, all mods and points listed, was the same as a standard car, and no points with my old broker.

Another vote for chris knott, much cheaper when insuring my octy with mods declared.

Will your current insurer insure you at a reasonable premium or have they refused cover? And have you been insured with them for more than a year?

I'm with Chris Knott too (underwritten by Highways).... nice and cheap for the Skoda but weren't as competitive for the Mondeo when I switched.....

There could be a significant financial penalty if you cancel a policy part way through the year. But if you have been insured with the company for more than a year, and they won't cover the mods, you should be able to get a full refund (or thereabouts) for the remaining insurance period.
