Tints or sun blinds for black vrs estate?

Featured Replies

Hi chaps . My 2009 estate has got no tint whatsoever . I'm concerned about lack of security for the boot , and to be honest I think the car will look a good bit more sporty with some tint . If it was shades , then like others on here it's looking like being aftermarket ones with two shades for the back window . Are these so dark that they hamper visibility for parking ? Alternatively it's tints . What I don't want is something too dark so that it looks too pimped ! Shades seem to be midnight , smoke and light smoke , anyone know how these relate to eom tint ? Sunset glass ? Just aware that if I go for tints , then oy one chance to get it right . Thanks , any thoughts appreciated

I got mine tinted. I was hoping to have them similar to privacy glass but they turned out darker than that. Thought they were too dark at first but now I prefer them. Not the best pics but it'll give you an idea

Tints all the way for me, it gives them that shine and also better security

Superskoda blinds are one piece rears

I had some, then sold them

I'm now going for tints

If you don't mind paying double the price of blinds, go for tints straight off

Personally I'd not go for limo dark on black, to stop the van look, but each to their own

Get a pic up when you've decided

thanks . Probably tints it is . will put photos up when I have them . cheers

Now I've got an estate with tints it's much better than blinds.

Tint and then cage the boot if your worried about it being broken into!

Tints do look good

Have both! I have OEM privacy glass with OEM blinds (because the privacy glass isn't that dark) and it makes a good combination.

What is the rough cost on tints (for rear doors and all of the glass for the boot of an estate)?

I was quoted £160 for a hatch... so maybe a bit more for an Estate
