Bit of money to spend on the octy.........

Featured Replies

What should I get?

ITs a family day car but I like the idea of a remap not sure where yet but I am pretty sure I'll be doing that

The other things I have seen are I think called a anti lift kit? and I'd also like to stiffen it up a bit so maybe better bushes and rubbers?

what does anyone suggest? can anyone recommend a good remap garage in Nottingham or east mids?

I would really love to get DAB in it aswell on the columbus i have and rear view cam but from what I have seen thats an expensive deal for just DAB really.

Shark in Mansfield for a remap. The end.

remap yes

ALK - I wouldn't bother.  You'll achieve more results with stickier tyres or lightweight 17"  rims and a decent wheel alignment.

change the rear console bush for a non-voided S3 unit.  They are cheap.  maybe even look for some S3 or Passat alloy lower control arms.

You haven't actually said what you want to achieve or how old the car is so it's  a bit hard to 2nd guess what you should look at.

Simple fix for DAB is to buy a DAB columbus and sell your non DAB. Then just fit an aerial and away you go. You might manage to get it all done for a couple of hundred or so depending on what your unit's worth and what aerial you buy.

If it's a pd170 having a shark map on my octy. I would recommend the OP to go elsewhere!

Sorry i was a bit vague.

its 2008 pre f/l 2.0tfsi

im not really looking for anything serious just want to spend a bit on it, the ride is a bit noisy which would be nice to get rid of but I think tha is down to rubber really.

Nice idea about the DAB Columbus i'll look into it.

I think i'm more for convenience and gadgets than tuning and physics.
