sunshades

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Has anyone tried fitting something like this ? I just saw a MK2 Octy with this kind of things and it was looking pretty awsome.

I think a few have had them. They look good but you can't stick your head out the window I think.

Apparently the ones from Vanstyle are decent

I have them fitted to mine I brought them from a member on here. I like em they give the appearance that you have tinted windows but they are removable, it only takes one finger and about 5 seconds to take them off.

The downside is you can't put your head out the windows with them fitted but as of yet I've not found a way or had a need to put my head out of the rear windows.

Cool! I'm looking forward to buy a set of those as well.

Is the rear window just one single blind?

This is what I can tell from the pictures. The O2 ones that I've seen we're in 2 pieces though.

The ones I have are in 2 pieces better to have it one piece though I reckon not sure if it will harder to install or not.

Looking nice! Installing window tint (legal stuff) is about 80£. I preffer this way. I'm starting to look after one set. Anyone is selling? ;))

To be honest you'd probably be better off buying them brand new at least you would have a warranty with them.

At £65 for the ones in your link or £53 in this onehttp://www.uvcarshades.co.uk/privacy-shades-skoda-fabia-door-1999-p-3931.html

You can always sell them on if you don't like or when you come to sell the car. You can't do that with proper window tints.

Good point! I found them a better workaround than tinted windows. These and maybe along with a heat and uv resistive transparent film on the glass should be more than enough to keep the car cool in hot summer days and avoid headlights from the cars in the back during the night.

Hmmm, I like these. I'm very tempted to get some.

I still need to pull my finger out and buy a set while it's still vaguely sunny. I did message them about a group buy, but had no response.

Isn't there an OEM code for things like this ?

I just ordered the Vanstyle ones

The rear window one comes in two pieces but I don't think that will bother me.

I would have to pay double for them, shipping is almost as much as the sunshades. I really hope I will find a kit 'indoors', but I really doubt that. Dang!

I got the Vanstyle/UV Car Shades ones through their eBay (with free shipping), which turned out to be cheaper than on their site.  If you are near to their shop in Nottingham, you can pick them up and they will also fit them for free.

Very happy with mine.  Needed something to stop the sun getting in my little ones eyes.  He likes to put the window down and can with these - also stops me worrying about him dropping something out the window!

I ordered some off their ebay site too. Fitting is easy enough. Was a bit undecided at first, but they are growing on me.

Santa arrived early this year :p

Bit hard to tell from the photo but they do look like tinted rear windows.

Anybody got any pics from the rear? Just wondering how does the 2 piece rear look from outside? Got a newborn so wanting to get something like these to keep the sun out of his eyes :)

Thanks in advance for any help :)

Is it possible to buy the sunshade material on a roll?

The closest I can find is dress making netting and that's no good.

£70 and get the 3 rear windows tinted light or dark smoke that's what my m8 charges

That would be an option, but if you're driving with the windows rolled down, it would be useless. Furthermore, in case of emergency, that film can make a rescue operation more difficult.
