Any plans for 2.0 tdi in Fabia VRS ?

Featured Replies

I had a test drive in the Fabia VRS yesterday and it looks like I would have to place a factory order to get the spec I want. The dealer hinted that there may be plans to fit the 2.0 tdi instead of the current 1.9, Skoda have not made any announcement but he said that VRS production is due to halt for six weeks and this usually signifies a major spec change. Any one got any further info ?

hope they do the final run off versions with a Wrc version like Toyota are doing with their Carola! not for a little while yet tho! is that the 140bhp one?

the 2.0tdi is the 140 bhp one, that conforms to the new emmisions regulations, I would assume skoda will simply put this in the vRS instead of the 1.9tdi...... but as said, no announcement yet......

The latest brochure up on the website advises that the vRS engine is EU IV spec from week 43 builds (last monday). With that in mind I can't see them fitting the 2.0 140 engine any time soon.

Think the New motor has different mountings and everything!!! Would think they would wait for a New Model 1st!!!
