The old one did so I imagine that the new one will as well as having smartlink capability

Cheers. Thought so.

Just changed our Monte a little sooner than intended but made the mistake of wandering in to a car dealers after stopping for fish and chips across the road  :giggle:

So we now have a Volvo on the drive which has more tech than a stealth fighter

Oh it's a right Heinz 57, built in part in Sweden assembled in Belgium, running a very modified Ford platform with a PSA designed engine; not unlike a Skoda and its links to VAG  :giggle:

and owned by the Zhejiang Geely Holding Group

The higher driving position is a major 'plus' for us. Wife thinks Yeti is ugly ( hasn't softened her view after two years ownership ) but has to admit it's practical, versatile, comfortable and economical to run.......

Which satnav system comes on the new MY16 L&K? And does it display stuff like parking sensor info, climate control stuff etc? Or is it just the audio and satnav stuff it shows?

If it's the same as from old to new Bolero, it no longer displays climate control changes, but that's not really a deal breaker.

We had spent about 3 weekends trying every cross over type car we possible could. The first weekend we were at a Nissan dealer and there was a Skoda one next door. I suggested we looked at the Yeti whilst we were there, but no one else seemed interested.

It was not until a few weeks later when we had exhausted all other possibilities, that we then decided to have a look at one. All the family (inc teenagers) loved it, it fitted all our requirements and after a test drive decided it was the one for us.

Thanks. Hopefully we might have time today to go and have a proper look at one. Now looking at colours...

Can anyone tell me the colour of the Yeti in this video https://youtu.be/-HhBPRsSnMk

At the moment I am liking the look of jungle green or muscavado

That's jungle green with matterhorn alloys.

Both suit the Yeti but I think jungle green would be my choice of the two.

Had a good look this afternoon. All good.

Wifre likes petrol blue but didn't get to see one in the flesh.

That was top of our list at one time, but could not see a Yeti in it. Went for Brunello Rosso in the end

She hasn't seen brunello rosso either but likes it from the brochure.

I don't like petrol blue or brunello rosso but then I'm not your wife so I don't suppose my opinion matters  :D

I showed her muscavado and jungle green and she said they were "nothing colours". I really liked the jungle green. Then she picked those other colours.

I had to be a salesman to persuade her the Yeti was a good car to go for. She thought it was too big and too grown up!?!?

But....she's coming round to the idea :) so I will allow her to choose the colour ;)

I like the light interiors for a change because it's rare to have an option other than black and IMOwould look special in Rosso or Jungle Green.

Take care! Rossi Brunello is NOTHING like the colour in the brochure. Have a look at a car in the metal, not just those little swatches in the dealership.

Love our Yeti, 30,000 miles in under 2 years, no problems and around 40 mpg on a petrol.

Cheers. Thought so.

Don't talk to me about SmartLink, the b****y car is smarter than me already.

It won't be long before it reads my weekly shopping list off my tablet and goes to the supermarket and gets it without any intervention by me. :envy:

None of the colours in the brochure look the same in real life, especially under the showroom lights. Insist on seeing one in daylight.

Having said that I love the look of our Jungle green and only changed from the previous Muscovado to have a change.

Sounds like our Volvo then; reads road speed signs for me, warns if cars are getting to close from every direction, tells me off for crossing a white line if I don't indicate and will even steer me back into lane in certain circumstances, brakes if I don't and it thinks I'm going to run into something, total mind of its own  :giggle:

That not a joke Fred.....it IS coming - it's AI and as Mr Hawking says, it's the greatest threat to us ( NOT U.S. Apple!) all.

Things have changed slightly on the lease deals I am being offered. Here's my final offer after quite a bit of haggling.

Skoda Yeti 2.0tdi 150ps 4x4 Laurin and Klement with metallic paint

3x23 deposit of £627.39 then £209.13 monthly

Total payable 5437.39

I can get this deal from either Skoda direct (VWFS) at 8k miles or through Arval at 10k. My feeling is to go direct as 8k is probably ok just but I may go a bit over (6p per mile on both). Any thoughts on who would be better to use?

Only annoying thing is I am slightly in negative equity on the current car that's on a PCP. Both above deals will take the car off me but I will need to put in an additional £250ish to cover the shortfall.
