Swap Instrument Cluster

Featured Replies

Hello,

I am looking to swap instrument cluster on a 2009 plate Skoda Fabia

as the immobilizer is not in the the instrument cluster like a mk4 golf I thought this might be a simple swap.

It seems the vehicle is immobilized when the vehicle is connected to the new cluster, upon putting the old cluster back the vehicle starts again.

I have updated the software coding and workshop cost to match that of the old dash but it still wont start with the replacement cluster. (The replacement cluster was purchased off eBay)

The software coding I have entered is 18403 and workshop code is 13765

Part number is 5J0 920 901 B  KOMBIINSTR

Is there anything I am doing silly? Any help would be appreciated.

try and contact EDDIE NL on the board he may be able to shed some light

Immobilizer is in the cluster. You need someone equipped to adapt immobiliser.
