Accessories for our Fabias

Featured Replies

So, let's have a chat about accessories (those that are very practical, and others which are just for show/fun) that are worth getting for our Fabias.

This is my set up:

Cabin:

Interior:

Boot:

Over to everyone else - what accessories do you have/are you considering and why?

  • So, literally £6.99 on eBay and it makes such a good difference on our keys. Loving the premium feel. Chrome key top. A bit sad but I love it! http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/1x-Genuine-New-VW-Golf-Mk7-Chro

Just scanning through a few of the links it all looks a bit pricey doesn't it? I mean, 60 euros for door sills? ...or is it just me who is a cheap ******:-)?

Car due in 3 weeks -

Already have Mudflaps and Rubber Boot mat on the way. Local SkodapartsIreland.ie. Their website not set up for the Fab3 yet. But Skoda eshop ( http://eshop.skoda-auto.com/cz/en/b2c ) and SuperSkoda great for getting the part numbers. Quick mail to local Skodaparts and they'll source it. Local post a bit easier.

The eShop has a lot of interesting stuff - especially looking across other models - esp. Rapid and O3 - which have stuff which will also be OK on Fab3. (Like you did Dilz, with the cool coathanger for the Fab2 on Superskoda !! )

Mudflaps for country roads - the muck is easier to remove from bodywork when mudflaps take most of the hit.

Rubber Bootmat for those oily things I sometimes carry! Passat boot got a lick of oil seepage from an old machine I was carrying some years ago - and the oil will never be completely gone. Even though I had a protector board on the floor at the time.

Bit bizarre why Skoda eShop won't ship outside CZ. And website has English language option.

Or why the related myshop   will only send to France, Germany and Poland.

As mentioned - sites are not fully set up for F3 - especially the Hatch/Combi differences. The rear Combi mudflaps are different (p.no 6V9075101) , listed on Skoda eShop and Superskoda - though neither list the rears for the Hatch ! ( 6V6075101 if you're wondering!). Local Skodaparts has Rears for Hatch listed, but not Combi !

Research, research, research!

Agreed kristianRS - those sills seem rather expensive. Though they look cool !

Would be very interested in a boot-sill protecter though. Would probably splash that kind of money for one.

There is one for the Hatch, but haven't seen a Combi one listed yet.

The lights seems like a good idea too Dilz. Will likely get those too. Have them in my old Passat - and the difference is like night and day!

Biltema, 99 SEK.

just upgraded from mk2 hatch to mk3 estate, must say that my regular Kenu feels useless with those air vents, my htc one is leaning upwards, so i've sold the Kenu today, and ordered the iOttie easy one touch 2 from amazon

Talking of accessories, i'm changing my grille for the new Monte Carlo one as the only thing I don't like about my car is the chrome, oh and the lack of a rear spoiler but that's being dealt with sometime soon in the future.

I can't think of any other accessories I would like/need for my mk3, not really keen on door sills etc

The only addition I'll be making to my MkIII estate when I get it is the fitting of roof bars and two bike racks, the standard Monte door sills on my present car do look good but I won't be buying aftermarket or OE ones.

I already have a boot net from a previous Pug 207 SW so that will be going in and I might fit a rear bumper protector just to keep the bumper scratch and knock free from me and my son's bike gear.

I second Gazbull17's wish for a rear bumper protector: unfortunately, although they are around for the hatchback, no-one seems to be doing one for the Estate yet. The dog's claws have already made one scratch on the bumper, I don't want this to become a regular occurrence!

Also, fitted some Heko wind deflectors this evening. They definitely do make a difference to the wind noise, but the real reason I got them was that I'm already fed up with getting soaked when I open the windows in the rain!

Hmmm, have you looked into something like this:http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/FABIA-III/Fabia-III-hatchback-black-rear-bumper-protective-panel-MARTINEK-AUTO

Might do the trick?

And now you've got me thinking about wind deflectors... So I will look into getting some!

Yes, I looked at that one, and checked with the suppliers, but they say it is definitely for the hatchback only, and won't fit the Estate. I did get the wind protectors from them, though...

Oh I see... Well hopefully an estate version is released soon! And thanks for the heads up on the wind protectors... I might place an order!

Sorry, that's me getting confused: it's wind *deflectors* and bumper *protector*!

I bought a roll of clear plastic protection film 500x8 cm at the hideous price of some £4. Had to cut it to fit myself, but it seems to do the trick. And it doesnt cover the nice moon white color. :)

Use it as door sills too.

Update: Rearguards are now listing a bumper protector for the Fabia III Estate. That'll be me sorted, then...

You know, you're absolutely right. I've been using the Kenu Airframe on the driver's door air vent but when needing the charger the middle vents prop the phone up!

So just grabbed a Montar Universal mount which does the trick and is incredible grippy!

The piano black finish of the beige interior's centre panel is a perfect surface for suction cup grips. And my phone is in perfect reach of the charging port whilst not blocking any of the wind shield. Loving this Montar far more than the Kenu!

Nice, It's the key for the Fabia Mk3 ?

Yep that's right... I just added the chrome top (and you can see the difference with my spare key)

Ok thanks. I bought a silicone protective case for the key, I'll let you know if it fits good. The only problem... I'll have the key with the car in 3 months lol. Can't wait...

The wind deflectors from Heko sound good. I'm thinking that Skoda really failed when considering the water running into the cabin with the front door opening and window opening. It pores off the front screen and straight into an open window... I'm going to order these tonight.
