Hello Octavia vRS fan here

Featured Replies

Hi all, just registered

I am seriousley considering buying a Octavia VRS, I have read a few posts on here but just wanted to know how hard is it to keep that white interior (footwell and seats) clean?

I am only 22 but since having a go in a mates 2002 VRS I'm hooked, any advice/recomendations on the car in general would be very much appreciated

Thanks in advance

James

Welcome to Briskoda. :wavey:

Welcome. You've definately come to the right place to find out about VRS's both the Octavia and Fabia in VRS form are wonderful cars to own and drive.

I'm 22 as well and just got a octy Vrs, its not too bad to get the interior clean - my previous motor was the same. (I used a conventional capret cleaner on the dirtiest spots to get it off!) mines 2 years old and looks pretty tidy still.

Ive used febreeze as well on some spots.. sometimes i find that im spreading the dirt furter than removing. But on the whole its not too bad at all.

Get one - you know you want to :D:D

Be aware that at group 16 insurance will not be cheap for young drivers (especially if you go down the slippery of modifications) I am 24 with 4 years NCB and am paying

james, had my vrs for three years now from new, looked around nothing could touch it for the value. check around for insurance prices vary greatly, mates love the car, have done a few trips with the guys, 140+ 4up ! not many cars have the same lift after 110. local dealer enthusiatic and has equiped quite a few of the local vrs with WRC rear spoilers from new. will post some pics soon. you won't be disappointed

Welcome to ricalnic too. :wavey:

Hi James

I've had my vrs for 3 months and I'm really happy with it. I did have a few marks on the seats from the previous owner and some leather cleaner spillage so I bought some interior cleaner foam from the Skoda Dealer and it worked a treat. I tried to dab the stains with water but it left water rings, so it's best to treat the whole area with the foam when cleaning to avoid this.

Hope you decide to get one they're great fun.

All the Best!

Lew

Seats aren't too bad really. I had my RS for 148,000 miles - by then they were fairly grubby though :(

Welcome to 2 new people :orb_wave: :orb_wave:

Welcome:D
