Versions of segment displays?

Featured Replies

Hi there, I've recently purchased a second hand february 2013 Pre-Fl Yeti Active 1.2 dsg7. I'm not pretty sure about the trim level, cause it came with back parking sensors, roof rails, leathered wheel... and some extras comparising to the basic one. Bad news are it did'nt come with Maxi-Dot but with segment display and the most basic info is displayed there... digital clock, tripmeter, total distance, temperature and next service info. I don't also have cruise control or multimedia wheel, so it seems to be impossible to show any more menus. I've checked Ross tech's wiki and found that automats do have highline version of wheel controller, and they support cruise control, maxidot and Mfw.

I was asking myself about the different options to get comsumption average speed.... etc displayed in my actual lcd.

If i install cruise control stalks, will it be enough to get extra info displayed?

Similar option but with multimedia wheel

The most expensive one, retrofit a new maxidot cluster.

I'd like to know how many km I can do in real time (autonomy??? Srry about my english).

I'd be happy with the info displayed in my actual lcd. Could it be as easy as I described before? Seems that system supports it and maybe coding it would be enough... What do you think?

No if you want maxidot you need to buy a maxidot dial cluster.

Either second hand (and get mileage altered) or buy a new one and input mileage

Do a search for maxidot retrofit

Thanx for your reply. Maxidot retrofit would be my last option.

I've seen what a segment lcd is able to display in the yeti, and i wanted to know if it's possible installing stalks or a wheel with buttons,or even with a software update.

Has anyone tried something similar?

If you think that is impossible... then maxidot retrofit
