Im a new member and need some help with error after installing LED license plate lights.

I followed the steps in this link  http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/313685-vcds-coding-for-rear-plate-led/

I did not had to enter code on mine as the option was already there. I just needed to tick the box 'License plate light w/o Pulse width modulation'

try:
Channel 09 - Central Electronics. Byte 17, Bit 7. Check the box

Thank you Nos,

That box is already cheked but it still displays a fault :(

You cannot code it out on a 2010 car (you can physically do the coding but it will not stop the warning light)  it’s resistors or an additional inline bulb only I’m afraid.

It can be coded out, but you need special OBD tool to do it.

Pop by here in Denmark and I will help you out.  ;)

Hi i-s

What OBD tool is that?

Does it work with VCDS?

Hi i-s

I use ODIS. Same tool as the auth dealers use.

The tool is not enough, you will need deep knowledge of how to use the hidden special functions + a BCM remap tool. The last thing is invented by me. It has cost me a lot of time so I do not share it.

But in fact if you are clever you can do as me. Buy the ODIS tool and start reverse engineer the car. Thats how I did it.
