Argh- A creosote covered Octy

Featured Replies

It depends on the type and dilution rate

So ...if a thorough clean is required..(An aid to stripping wax) its good to use if diluted properly

There are TFRs available that do not strip hard wax finishes. But at the end of the day the car has had creosote on it, which is a bit more harmful than TFR!

and by all accounts something extra was needed to remove the creosote. Warm soapy water itself didnt do it. Tar remover has done, and I have since suggested to my newly found car cleaner (its so good not being at home!!) that a decent wax job should be in order after the polish, to ensure that any paint protection that may have been lost, is replaced.

I just hope he listens and then puts it all on the claim.

From what i can tell the guilty party has no problems with this, and has already been told he is paying for the tar remover.

So unless i'm purposely not being told about a punch up on the streets, everything should hopefully be OK. Well assuming the paint work hasnt been damaged.

lucky to have such a good neighbour - albeit it he caused the issue in the first place. My neighbour at the rear of me, cut his tree causing it to fall on my shed roof. I was not so politely told to take him to "f***ing court for it"

With that attitude I decided to pay for the damage myself.

Karma (kinda) - when he asked if I saw anything following his break in I replied "I saw f***king nothing"

Which was true but I enjoyed the reply to him!
