whats needed to change Radio

Featured Replies

hi all im thinking of getting a pioneer da120, does any one have one fitted so ii could see what it looks like? also what would i need to change from standard stream mp3 to an after market double din. there just seems to be a hole at the back of the standard one nothing for the after market to hold on to.

Why not fit a bolero or columbus head unit? You'll then get a factory look.

AppRadio.  Neat capability that the standard head units don't have.  The guy knows what he wants, he wants to know how to do it.

I would go for standard but it would cost a lot more for the extra bits for Bluetooth plus a new can gateway or what ever it's called plus the extra £200 for the unit the one I'm looking at is only £300

you need nothing more than 10 mins, and a torx screwdriver.. 4 of them in each corner hold the stereo in, to remove the trim you just pull it off from the bottom where the ash tray is.. I went for an ANS810 but the app radio is ok if you want to use your iphone as the main source, you will however need a different facia

You will need aerial adaptor, correct ISO block adaptor (£40 or £50 model I cant remember which) and the correct facia and trim to hold the new headunit in place.

I think it cost me about £80 to fit a Pioneer 80prs but it was well worth it.

2xusb, SD card, Bluetooth, Pioneer SQ etc.

Hi, am looking at this unit for sale second hand, I understand it might be hit and miss (from what I've read about it) but the deal includes the Canbus and fascia adapter for just under 200 euro.

I read that the fascia and Canbus alone could be quite expensive so was wondering does anyone think it's worth a punt. Car is 07 vrs with dual climate and reverse parking, maxidot etc. So it looks like it slots straight in.

Would Canbus be suitable?

Sorry for hijacking thread, meant to start new one
