Yep, 2 years of the warranty remain :P

I thought about one of those myself when I got rid of the Octy but at the last minute remembered it was French ! ;)

Enjoy, should be a blast, one of the few cars I couldn't keep up with in the twisties ! :D

As my teachers used to shout at me at school...

"GET OUT!" :P ;)

I think we need a little RWYB meet soon, with all the eclectic cars some members have decided to purchase. ;)

I must admit does sound fun, enjoy

Anyway, I decided in the end not to go with the VAG car, because this seemed a good deal, and I feel i should try something completely different, which this is.

Certainly a great driver's car - enjoy

No disrespect to the Skodas.... or anything else, but in the end, I felt another VAG car would just feel too similar to the Fabia vRS, and I think life is just too short. I wanted a proper nutter car before our wonderful government make it impossible to enjoy cars any more.

Are you coming in the S600 CL? ;)

 :D;)

I had a mate's 182 for a day last year. They are superb cars. I believe the power surge is caused by the second bank of valves activating or summat.

sounds fun mate, never driven one but sounds great

what have you done with the golf? :)

Nice choice, now head straight to the dealers and buy the Renault Sport ECU and sports suspension.

Has it got stripes. :)

I hope you enjoy it. You're right, there are a lot of interesting cars out there and sometimes you owe it to yourself to do what you want to, then you can say you've been there and done that, even if the honeymoon doesn't last forever. That sounds more pessimistic than it's meant to, but I hope you know what I mean.

Noooooooo Stripes :)

No stripes ;)... and the Golf? Still lying there knackered, declared off the road. I'm going to try and fix it and sell it on... maybe get a little money back if i can sell it as working.

Oh well paul it was nice knowing you :(

Does that mean you will only speak French now on here :)

Defector! Health to enjoy.

Au revoir!

Anyone would think you lot are trying to get rid of me - i didnt leave when i got the golf, and i wont be leaving now ;)

Certainly from what i've seen of cliosport.net in the past, its not a forum i can be bothered with.

They are good cars, cracking to throw around the Ring, very good handling, go-where-you-point-it car. The only downside I found was the powerband was so high when it came on cam, I had to rev the **** off it and redline constantly to get properly moving. It will put a smile on your face!

Should be good fun Paul

I've been a passenger in a Clio 172 and ..... fast and can handle :D

Only 'problem' is that the chassis is so rigid that it can be provoked to lift an inside rear wheel when cornered 'enthusiastically'. Also a good technique when cornering is to use a Scandanavian flick to provoke some tailslidey action (only on track or private road though ;) )

Sounds like fun, although if the fun is only between 5,500 and 7,000 rpm, you have a higher rev range in the diesel

Also, remember to carry a spare tyre-repair canister or AA membership - no spare wheel IIRC. :P

I'd like to have a ride in one or blat it round a track. Couldn't have it as an every-day car but for just having fun, why not? :D
