What to do next?

Featured Replies

Evening all, done the following to my Felicia 1.3 Mpi, and am after any ideas of further mods. Prefer mods that give performance rather than looks, and generally into the idea of creating a Felicia VRS theme.

Suspension - KYB Gas shocks & Ventura springs (-35mm)

Exhaust - Full one-off stainless steel single exit exhaust

Engine - Ecotek valve, engine breather filter, Pipercross panel filter in modified & drilled airbox

Wheels - 195/45 Uniroyal Rain tyre on 15" Team Dynamics Tornado rim

Brakes - Front, Black Diamond grooved discs with Predator pads.

Turbo or supercharger?

See the thread below ;)

Thought about supercharger but don't like idea of development costs! Anybody had experience of gas flowing the head? Leave it looking stock is my cup of tea!

You'll spend a lot of money for very little gain.

If you want a significantly faster car then sell the felicia and buy something else

Don't see point of selling car as don't reckon u can beat Felicia on the overall package esp. with the mods I've made. Gas flowing is a very successful modification especially when used with uprated injectors and a reprofiled cam. Hence my interest, as are all subtle modifcations, yet producing a tuned, powerful and reliable engine with cheap parts and no labour as I do the work myself.

Hi,

See the text below, I am currently looking for a 1300 Felicia Pick Up and this is the way I gonna go.

These engines are very tunable forget the 1.6, its no flyer anyway

it depends on if you have the mpi or spi, either way start with the basics

Full free flow filter, ditch the original airbox, get a decat section made up for the exhaust when the exhaust rots out have the centre box replaced with a section of pipe, and repalce the rear box with a decent aftermarket one - janspeed or something. this alone will free up decent power.

next stage, an MPI head if its SPI, prefereable to get it worked over by someone who knows what they are doing. A cam shaft is a good idea, but will need to get the fueling altered at the same time. or you could go extreme :-

You can get the long stroke crank and pistons to get it up to 1500cc, these engines once enlarged and ECU mapped to suit are good for 140hp. this is basically as per felicia 1500 cc kit car engine.
