Actually surprised at how much i like them, just need to fit my smooth boot, r32 spoiler and rear splitter and the rear end will be spot on :Y:

Also decided to have a quick play on Photoshop, i havnt used it for years so it isnt perfect. Kind of gives an idea of what i want to get done to the front end tho...

Defo in need of a machine polish, my mates going to do it for me just need to get my parts fit.

Ignore the uneven heights on the rear end as well, i think its due to the uneven ground its parked on and the fact my rear beam bushses are shot. If i park on even ground its nice and level all around.

Thanks, Jonezy

Finally got around to replacing the rear axle bushes over the weekend. Wasn't as bad a job as i thought it would be, took 3 hours taking it easy and that included re-bleeding the brakes and sorting the sticky handbrake out. Ended up using the Fabia VRS Bushes, rear end feels loads better and the wheels don't bounce oddly on bumps anymore.

Only took a couple pictures tho.

Face down ass up...

Next weekend i will be replacing the front subframe and wishbones with one I've been refurbishing, fitting my 312mm Brake, hubs new, brake hoses, changing the top mounts whilst I'm there and fitting a TT Anti Roll Bar providing it comes in time.

Thanks, Jonezy

This Saturday consisted of me fitting my refurbished and rebushed Subframe, Audi TT Anti Roll Bar, Poly Bushed Wishbones and 312mm brake set up with hibs etc. I was going to do the top mounts as well but they are still spot on so didnt bother. Here's some pictures, i hardly ever take pictures inbetween as i just like to get stuck in and my hands are to filthy to operate my phone haha.

Old parts removed (Good job i changed the subframe really there was a slight rust hole on the top)

Wheels and lows are a mandatory requirement when it comes to cars like these :D

Passed its MOT yesterday with no advisories or anything, pretty proud of that. Also got the compliment of it being the lowest car they've had in the garage. My subframe is between 1.5-2" of the ground.

Boot decided it didn't want to lock anymore over the weekend, so inspected the usual split wires and it was exactly that. So re-soldered them back together and insulated them back up and works perfect. Was a bloody fiddly job to do. Finally decided to change the drivers door module as well, a lot simpler than i thought it would have been to be honest. Although the previous owner has obviously had a very bad butchering job at sorting it before i bought the car, instead of removing the metal door card section they just cut a hole in it. That's all finally sorted properly now as well, feels good being able to open the drivers door by the central locking now.

Only job left on the list now is to refurbish my spare starter motor and get rid of that crappy whine on start up.

Then the car is mechanically perfect. I'll start on tidying the body work up after that, i have a new drivers wing, smoothed boot lid, anni rear valance and a R32 spoiler to fit.

Sorry for rambling on haha.

Here's a pic of the Golf next to the caravan we stopped in last week at the Lakes...

I am open to offer's on them mate. I haven't found any to replace them with yet tho. But for the right offer I'd let them go.

Nice small update for this. My drivers side wing had a massive hole in the side of it in the usual rust spot. So found a cheap replacement wing on eBay in really good condition.

Got myself some waxoil to seal the rear as well to hopefully stop any future rusting.

A couple pictures of my nice new wing all clean and gleaming next to the rest of my filthy car
