Whistling

Featured Replies

Whilst accelerating there is a whistling noise which stops as soon as you stop accelerating (1.9 tdi elegance). By pressing the accelerator on/off/on/off in quick succession for instance you can hear the whistle start stop etc anyone else come across this. The car has done 13000 in 8 months and has virtually made this noise from new.

That is the noise of the turbo. Perfectly normal.

Deja vu!

I was looking at your reply to the other version of this thread, thinking "I'm sure I typed that and it hasnt showed up!"
