no head work and no upgraded cam it all helps lets hope he got proper tyres see what it can do then :P

You've both got cracking cars with a lot of time and money invested in them. Banter aside will be good to see how they compare performance wise. Are they around a similar spec other than you having an uprated cam on the way? You have a different make of manifold too don't you?

cam come yesterday all fitted yes same suspension only difference my head has been reworked exhaust ports widened and different manifold

no head work and no upgraded cam it all helps lets hope he got proper tyres see what it can do then :p

I know your using a crap mapper though,if they were any good they would have mapped your DSSR+130'S for you correctly :)

same mapper as Jason so tell him that and if im correct his is the fastest mk1 vrs on the forum SAY NO MORE JUST TURN UP ON THE 12TH AND WE'LL FIND OUT!

As I've said before, Steves new cam should make a huge difference as long as the head hasn't been wrecked by a bad flow job and the mapping is up to scratch.

Its going to be rolling roaded before track day if its down on power spare standard head going back on graph to follow

Do you guys have to enhance the cooling of the coolant somehow? Or is there enough in hand with stock radiator etc.? With twice+ the stock bhp, that must mean at least twice as much waste heat to be rid of. I guess going fast helps. :)

Get your facts right, jason has not long changed mappers, when it was at its most powerful it was mapped by someone in Germany, why hes moved mappers I don't know?

Coolant temps are fine :)
 
Its the oil that gets very hot, as the turbo is not cooled by the coolant.

well same mapper as Jason now anyhow how'z that!

 

and yeh wino coolant temps are important aswell hence why I got a new ali rad being made as we speak :)

I had my exhaust ports widened and matched to the exhaust manifold it definitely pulled more on the top end you can even match inlet manifold to gasket there's about 2mm to be gained on the manifold

there was hardly anything with inlet worth doing just all exhaust ports done

 

There was quite abit on mine il dig some pictures out if I've still got them but I put my gasket over top of the inlet manifold and got about 2mm it matched perfect to the head it was just the inlet manifold that got ported
