Retrofit xenons

Featured Replies

How do all,

When retro fitting xenons to a non xenon model pre fl vrs, is it just a case of fitting & then coding with vcds?

Thanks

yes

unless you want to retro fit them which will mean fitting all the kit associated with xenons and xenon headlights etc

What do you mean by full kit? The headlights I've been offered are complete with bulbs & ballast packs.

Make sure they are non-canbus and NOT the canbus friendly ones.

They are a HID kit.

The full xenon kit is the self levelling sensors on the front and rear suspension etc.

Do they above. Buy the NON-CANBUS ones. As they will not cause any system melt downs. Ignore what the website may tell you!

I'm not talking about a aftermarket HID kit, I have been offered a set of genuine xenon headlights.

Sorry my mistake as a lot of people ask about aftermarket HID kits

I have a feeling the wiring will be different as they are self levelling and need headlight washers

I see! Yes they can be fitted but you will need new wiring looms, the sensors for the front and rear suspension along with the associate wiring looms.

The washers aren't required for the xenons to work.

To be honest you're just as well with a HID kit given that the headlights have projector lenses anyway.

you need to fit the attachments to the suspension so the lights self align

You should have headlight washers aswell.

I personaly think the xenon headlights are different to halogen. The price difference is huge for the units
