Exhaust q.

Featured Replies

Thinking of getting a cat back put on the car. What pipe diameter would be best, 2.5 or 2.75 inches?

Other than exhaust the car will remain standard.

TIA.

Might be an idea to tell us what model it is. your profile says VRS but is it petrol tfsi / tsi or diesel PD / CR. I think my Red one (tfsi) from CAT is 2.75 into 3" Now Miltek system but the diesel might be smaller. I think the DPF could be a different Size on the CR from the PD version for example.

Then I think im right in saying its 2.75" from the cat. The Miltek is highly regarded which is why I went for that plus mines resonated so pretty quiet as I wasn't interested in making it noisy just power.

Thanks for that Scibbler.

How are you finding the Miltek?

I need a sports cat and remap before I fully utilise the improved flow. But it feels better already especially as its got a K&N panel filter so it doesn't feel as asthmatic high up in the rev range. Low revs its about the same as standard but once she's moving it noticeably pulls better.

Its nice and quiet just a very small burble on 'off throttle' looks the part, well it did but now its covered in road grime and soot.
