Modding friendly Insurers?

Featured Replies

Ohh :cussing: why did i think the insurance is due in Febuary? So i now need to sort out the insurance for the fabia before the end of the month. Now i thought i saw somone list various insurers who were mod friendly, but can anyone recommend anyone?

Now I originally insured it as standard and have left it since finding out about it being 'chipped' so in theory ive not been insured properly. Now i'm in two minds whether to actually declare it or not. IF i try and claim they are unlikley to even check are they ?

I think i'm just afraid of how much extra its going to be having been quoted

No idea how/if they would check or not.

I found Herts Insurance consultants to be pretty good, particularly when it comes to mods. :)

Declare EVERYTHING. Please.

My renewal with Adrian Flux was

Im just about to go with flux... whove quoted me

Declare your mods!!

Try Elephant

Brentacre - 01792 650933 were cheapest for me. Allowed as many mods as you like as long as agreed power limit is not exceeded. Can change wheels, brakes, suspension etc as long as you tell them for no additional premium.

I got my renewal through from Privilege this week

IF i try and claim they are unlikley to even check are they ?

Can you really afford that risk? I know i certainly can't so I declare all my mods. I've used Tesco, Chris Knott and Directline and all have been mod friendly. Elephant/Admiral also seem to come highly rated as do Adrian Flux and Greenlight :D

Well i just tried elephant but they wouldnt insure me! Though i can get a quote of 800 quid on there website if i was a new customer.

Is it a case of wording it carefully? i said remap not chipped. I think i'll try again later hoping to get a different operator.

Adrian Flux best quote for me so far. They us Royal sun alliance. mod for mod replacement. unlimited miles.

Still got some phoning todo.

Chris Knott could not insure me due to being under 25, postcode starting with L.
