Blackberry Z10 with RNS510

Featured Replies

Hello there

I have gotten myself a 2nd hand 2009 Octavia VRS recently.

After finally managed to pair my Z10 (RSAP enabled) with the bluetooth module, I realised that the pairing drops the data services on my phone.

I am still able to make or receive calls though.

Emails, whatsapp etc are not working (yes , I am fully aware that I need not use these while driving).

Been searching on old threads and only find some threads about pairing Android phones.

Is it because my bluetooth module is a low end model? I understand there are several options for bluetooth module available. Do I need to upgrade to those higher end modules?

Thank you!

There is a list of known BT modules here: http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Telephone_Retrofitting so you should probably start by finding out what you have.

If you have maxidot then you can probably upgrade to either a 3C8035730D or 3C8035730E. Both are able to use rSAP to connect to 3G and then broadcast a WiFi network in the car for your phone to connect to.

If you have older software on your maxidot then some icons aren't shown, much like this thread: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/355818-3c8035730e-missing-icons-on-maxidot/

Thanks for the guidance.

I went to check on my module and its a 5N0 035 730 B.

Hence thats why i do not have access to 3G.

Looks like I need to hunt for a 5N0-035-730 D?
