Mk2 FL VRS to Mark 3 VRS - worth it?

Featured Replies

Following a change of job and now getting a car allowance I am looking to change my 2010 Mk2 FL petrol VRS DSG for something a bit younger and lower mileage.

My question to those of you who have done it - is the extra cost of an early Mk3 VRS worth it over the last of the Mk2 FLs?

Thanking you in anticipation,

I didn't go directly from a mk2 to a mk3 but the mk3 is a much better rounded car. More comfortable, drives better, and I'm findind it cheaper to fuel too. The MQB platform cars are far superior to the older PQ platform cars in my opinion. Had a both a mk2 Leon and Octavia and having just sold my mk3 Leon for a mk3 Octavia they both make their predecessors feel dated.

However, if you're happy with your current car and its running well I'd probably hold off for the facelift vrs and see what that brings.

What he said ^^

I'm happy with the  change
