Skoda have a car manual app available for the iPad whereby you enter your VIN and the app downloads the correct manual for your car. The app will also notify you of any recalls for your vehicle.

Before I download it, when you say "manual" do you mean a proper workshop manual, or just the drivers handbook?

It's the owners manual.

 

There's also a separate section on all the dash warning lights that's a little easier to follow than tracking them down through the manual.

 

You can select your local/regular dealer and it pulls down all the contact details, opening hours, etc.

 

There's a tab for Skoda assistance that locates you by GPS. This appears to be so you can tell them, rather than automatically sending your location to them. This tab also has a parking helper/find your car option.

I forgot about the iPhone app (which can be found here...... https://appsto.re/gb/0mwgH.i) which is actually called Skoda Service (this is an iPhone only app) rather than Skoda Manual (this is an iPad only app) and which is a different app to the iPad app I linked to before.

The two iPad and iPhone apps work slightly differently and do slightly different things..... The iPhone one has the Skoda Assist and dealership stuff as you mention which the iPad app doesn't have and the iPad app is specifically the owner's manual in digital form along with the build and first registration dates of your car along with the recall notices etc.....

The Android app is the Skoda Service one. It's quite useful, but a pain taking 20+ seconds to start up. The Shell Drivers app is similar - some good functionality but takes ages to load!

It starts in a couple of seconds on my phone (Sony xperia z2).

This App for Android has said it is not ready for 5.0 lollipop..........
