Hey all

Does anyone know what insurance would be for a 19yrold male, 1 years licence and 1 years no claims? I cant get an online quote for one, only cos it says VRS on the boot. I could get a quote for dads 130pd octy which was bout 2grand. :thumbdwn:

Ta :)

ALOT, does that help you kevin?

Maybe you could have a chat with walkie as he is close to your age and paid a fair bit.

Take vRS off the boot and take off the vRS alloys :D Much cheaper to insure ;)

You could try Chris Knott but I think they only insure people aged 25+ on cars, Tesco, Norwich Union Direct, Elephant, Admiral, but you'll most likely have to ring them to discuss....

Good luck :D

Thanks,

I can insure a PD100 Fabia for 1100. When you compare that to 1400 for my 1.4 ive got, it dosnt seem too bad...

I might ring Direct Line at some point. Maybe I could put a VRS engine into a PD100....Maybe thats why Jason went to all that trouble, his insurance was too high. :D

Surely you can do an online quote - I did before I bought mine - Elephant certainly have it on their site, so does confused.com, try one of them.

It's a Fabia vRS 1.9 TDI PD 130 (or something similar).

Good luck!

Yay!

Today I sorted my insurance... Greenlight did me Fully Comp inc

Insurance is a joke, I used to drive a Seat Leon Cupra 180 which was a group 16 insurance sold it and bought a Fabia VRS,(which I believe is a group 9) Rang direct line up (who insured me on the Leon) and said to em Ive sold the Leon and bought the furby what can you offer me? (bearing in mind I have no no claims but am 23 years old) they said "sorry sir we require you to have at least 2 years no claims bonus for us to insure you on that type of vehicle". I proceeded to laugh very hard and made that point that they were more than happy to insure me on a 180bhp Seat Leon Group 16 with no no claims whats so ever but couldnt insure me on a 130bhp diesel hatch, There was a lengthy pause on the phone then I was told "Im sorry thats just Direct Lines Policy",I said "Fine you can keep your policy I want to cancell the Insurance for the Leon then!" and thats what I did. Got insured on the Fabia for

I always use the AA.

I have business insurance for a 40000 miles per year job, fully comp with 5yrs protected NC on a standard Fabia VRS came in at
