VRS written off :(

Featured Replies

Crashed my VRS on my way to work couple of weeks ago. Slid on a very greasy road and hit central barrier side on after spining it at 60mph. Insurance claim it as beyond econimical repair.11800439_1134524013228991_4948706910563111825627_1134523973228995_26111139364955

GUTTED BUT KINDA A RESULT  #TEAMBLACK

Sickening and a horrible feelimg when it starts to go and you realise youre just going along for the ride coz physics has taken control...

however, your up 500quid, and have a ,imo, better looking car! Plus you wlked away intact, so thats an overall positive result

nice new vrs! Glad you're ok.

Whats the insurance and tax on that mapped vrs?

Whats the insurance and tax on that mapped vrs?

Tax is the same as a standard one - band J (currently £265 for 12 months). Insurance on a lightly modded car should be about the same or maybe cheaper than a standard one if you go to a specialist insurer like Chris Knott. Mine is insured with them for £225 :)

Excellent! Thanks for the contact. Much less than what I'm paying for an old 2002 2.0l octavia!

Cheers

update:

Vehicles must be less than 8 years old and have fewer than 80,000 miles on the clock at the start of cover.

  that's a shame. Justification to update my skoda!
