Just bought an 03 plate VRS, with only 14k on the clock. Lovley car, can anyone give me any tips on owning a VRS, serviceing e.c.t.

Welcome.

Best advice is to keep clear of the Group Buy section, it will cost you dearly!! There will be talk of stainless exhausts, sump guards, leather retrims and remaps to mention but a few.

Make sure you have a litre of the correct oil handy - it can be hard to find on a sunday afternoon when you realise you need it. I always use VAG screenwash to prevent blocking of the fan jets.

Yes the service...is it on variable servicing.

Use only good oil and the service parts are not expensive so I would suggest genuine.

Spark plugs are pretty expensive but well worth it.

I wondered whether it is Octy of Fabia - esspecially with Sarah recomending good spark plugs !
