Sticker Codes

Featured Replies

Next to the data sticker in the boot of my Rapid Spaceback are 3 other stickers, each with a 4-character code.

The codes are 26I7 (TWO-SIX-EYE-SEVEN), 20V4, and 48L7

Does anyone know where I can find thier meaning?

And does anyone know where I can find the meanings of the 3-character codes on the main data sticker?

Many thanks - Richard

Lee01 not gonna work, equipment codes have length equal to three.

48L7 does seem very familiar, but i cannot recal where have i seen it :-/

I suggest you try something new-fangled called Google - its a search thingy that apparently finds information for you.

Yes they are 'recall' stickers. Found two of those applied to our Spaceback boot following the last service.

Big ugly things to stick there.

Thanks all - looks like I have the power steering software upgrade, and the replacement throttle pedal, not sure what the third 4-character code is yet. They applied all of these in March, shortly before I collected it as a 2nd hand purchase form my local dealer.

Not sure what the throttle pedal thing is though, since the car does do the "running by itself" thing ie cruise at about 5mph in 1st and 10mph in 2nd (useful in traffic jams esp on the motorway!), 18mph in 3rd (useful for 20mph speed limits) and 30mph in 4th. Haven't tried 5th, 4th is scary enough if you forget!

I thought that was what the new throttle pedal was meant to correct?

Try with AC off see if you get a lower idle speed?

My idle (even in neutral) is faster if the car is rolling than if it is actually stopped.

Mine too. If rolling the idle picks up. If stationary it's about 850.

Something to do with brake servo pressure maybe?

Is not that an anti stall feature; sound like the set-up used on diesels, although I've not tried it on the TSI.

Hello,

Can anyone help me figure out this recall / software update code? It can be 23BU or 23BC...

try the link at post #6 and enter your VIN

It shows nothing. And I think its correct because the recall action / update was already done to my car...
