Skoda Octavia vrs tdi clutch choices

Featured Replies

I am intending on changing the clutch on my 2009 Octavia vrs tdi. I am told their are 2 different clutch systems Luk and Sachs and that I need the correct 1 to match my flywheel. Anyone any idea on how I can find out what 1 I need? Thanks in advance

Hi Mango,

hi Mango,  I would guess that you would have to get to the old one before you could identify it. Production lines often fit the one they have in stock at the time.

I agree. I changed my flywheel at the dealer and even they didn't know which one do I need until they reached it.

Surely their is a way of finding out. I have been given an luk clutch from euro car parts and they say they were able to get onto a system that told them it was luk. I don't want to strip it down to find out it a Sachs kit I need.
