First registered April 2015 1.6 DSG Black Edition Estate

 

Done about 5k miles so far and really enjoying the car, far better made than my last Passat.

 

When I purchased the car I asked them to put it on Long Life Servicing, which they assured me they had done.

 

However a reminder popped up a few days ago indication a month until and oil service is due?

 

Is this normal or has the dealer forgotten do set the maintenance service interval ?

 

 

Unless you're approaching 8000 miles on the Odometer (which would indicate fixed servicing anyway), something sounds amiss?

Same happened to me. Garage said it hadn't been set to variable service interval. But they changed my oil anyway. Or so they said.

Sounds like they left it on fixed service interval instead of changing it to the variable one.

In the entertainment unt there is an option to show service intveral & it will show you the time left to the next oil change & next inspection.
