  • Keep up mate.   KMag was released on October 16th, and Jenson signed up for next year some time before that.

Haas sign Grosjean.

So there's a vacancy at Enstone?

Could be two.  Lotus have re-signed Maldonado.  Prospective owners Renault haven't.

Lotus need the cash but only worth re-signing Crasho if they stay afloat.

There is a Haas press conference on Tuesday in the US but the deal for Grosjean is done. Suspect his partner will be Gutierrez

OP updated.

so who would come in to Renaulotus?

Well If Button doesn't retire, Magnusson will be available - McLaren have already said they won't stop him if he wants to go, which kind of indicates they rate VanDoorne as a better prospect?

JEV is a previous Renault driver and French.

Grosjean confirmed as Hass lead driver!

Button will be a McLaren Honda driver next season.

But will Alonso?

But will Alonso?

Trouble is, where else will he go?

  • Administrators

I heard he wanted to go to GP2 :P but in a press bbc thing, he was considering other forms, more challenging. Got to say as a observer of racing, far more racing occurs in any other forumla, all the way back to karts. But then they are doing there own spannering and not wearing nice shades...

Alonso was listening to this while ahead of Max in Japan I reckon :)

Trouble is, where else will he go?

Back to Renault?

Alonso will still be a McHonda driver in 2016

Why? because he has a contract??

I seem to recall he had a contract with Ferrari for 2015 but somehow that didn't happen???

  • 4 weeks later...

Jolyon Palmer gets Lotus (Renault?) race seat for 2016.

KMag and others will be disappointed.

KMag (like Montoya) has been invited to test in the WEC Porsche 919.

At the moment there is a Le Mans /  F1 date clash so the Hulk won't be able to return to the 24.

  • K Mag is not renewing his contract at McLaren or should I say has been told it won't be renewed.

  • Jenson will be driving for McLaren next year.

Gutierrez finally signed up by Haas-Ferrari for 2016

Gutierrez has eye on future with Ferrari:

Really?  He's gonna blow Grosjean away and get Kimi's Ferrari seat?

More like he's a known quantity for the Scuderia so they'll then know exactly how fast Roman is.

Grosjean hasn't said as much, but I bet he thinks impressing in the Haas car could be the key to a Ferrari drive as well.

As much as I was slating him the same as everyone else when he was crashing as much as Maldonado he has turned it round and IMO has a decent amount of talent, I'd love to see him in a genuinely quick car.

Yep he took Kimi to the cleaners and was the major competition for RBR in 2013
