Small White 3 pin Drivers Door Lock Plug still required,Please?

Featured Replies

Hi,

In September 2014, I posted a request to get a small white 3 pin Driver or Passengers  Door Plug to replace mine which is broken. At the time I got one or two helpful answers ,but no offer of a plug.I thought it was time I re- posted my request . I still believe somebody on this Excellent site has one on an old door or  door lock.I have enclosed a picture of the item on the lock

thanks in antisipation

I 'might' have one...although i am sure it is probably blue...? I remember our lass found a random plug in the kitchen yesterday which i asked her not to throw away (thinking about it now it might be the one attached to the second-hand rear passenger door lock i fitted)

Can you circle the bit you mean as not too clear in that pic...

Just had a look, the one I've got is black and has 6 pins on it.

You can sometimes buy the connectors from dealers, I got a replacement for my cam sensor plug from them

Hi,

my car does not have electric windows,or central locking, its a white plug with 3 pins, only two brown wires are connected.

thanks for replying

I'll have a look for you tonight. Probably have the connector on an Ibiza door loom that you can use. Or I may have a Fabia door loom in the loft.

Sorry my Ibiza and Fabia door looms don't have that connector. They have 8 pin plugs to the door locking mechanism.

Andy- not a critism, but a suggestion. Add the year and model of yours to your shown information. e.g. mine is an 04 1.4TDI. Helps folks compare like with like, not apples with oranges.

Car is a year 2000, 1.9sdi

If you could obtain the plug you would need a way to connect wire to the pins - I would imagine they are compress fitted in normal manufacture.

I would suggest soldering directly to the pins the plug would connect to. If you have never soldered before, you now have a good reason to try it out.
