Featured Replies

Well, just got the first tax reminder for my 1.4 TSi.  And it WAS only £30 for the whole year !!

Oh, happy days are here again........!!!!!!!

Bugger, my 1.4 is £110...................

mind you it is 140PS............

& my old 1.4 16v Fabia was £145 last year.............

£30 for me too :)

Not too bad for a 2 litre diesel!

Yes had the same plesent surprise I am sure the sales info said £110

Down side my 3 year PCP runs out sept 2016 so if I trade in for a new car then will fall into the new £149 tax

Yep I'll be keeping mine for a long time as its in the £30 band.

Hopefully they wont change the bands for existing cars only new ones to £140.

I thought mine was also supposed to be 140 PS ???  What is it then  (1.4 TSi manual hatch)

The 140 1.4 TSi manual is £110 and the DSG is £30.

That cant be right either mine is the manual but still £30.

Looking at the road tax form co2 figure it is on the border of the cut off between £30 and £110

Hatch is £30 the estate is £110 at least with the current 150 1.4 tsi

Oh hang on, they changed again for new cars 16 inch wheels means hatch and estate are £30

the 1.4lt engine is made in 122, 125, 140, & 150 versions, some are ACT & some are not...........

confusing............

1.4 140 manual estate 2014 £30 tax

1.4 140 manual estate 2014 £30 tax

what size tyres from the factory? 17" or 16".............

Mines only £20 per year, but it's a 2.0 TDI, 150PS Manual, my previous car was a company car and that used to cost £190....per month in Tax!

Yep I'll be keeping mine for a long time as its in the £30 band.

From what I have read, the changes in tax won't be retrospective. They will only apply to new cars after the changes start.

When I checked my log book document it showed the engine emission as 119, making it £30. Originally I was told it was 121, making it £110.

Maybe it changed around the time I bought the car (End of Oct. 2014)

They were fitting 17 inch wheels up to week 24 or so when they went to 16. I was just a few days too late so got the higher tax

Mine's on 16" wheels

Any my 17"-wheeled 1.4 TSI Manual Estate (registered March 2014) is definitely 121 g/km and £110.  Still cheaper than the £130 I was paying for my Mk1 1.9 TDI 110....

Mine are 16"

That's why you are in the lower tax bracket. The change to 17" rims with tyre width increase from 205mm to 225 mm pushes the car up on the CO2 & therefore the tax bracket as the car is only just below the £110 threshold on the 16" rims.

I had a call the other day saying the co2 in the book was wrong by 1g there for I am to receive a £100 cheque. They assured me that my car will still be in the £30 bracket.  SE L 2.0 Tdi with 17" wheels

My new 1.4 150 SEL Hatch on 18" Golus is still £30 but I think the estate is over at 121
