Fitting third-party stereo

Featured Replies

Is this a complete no-no on the Superb? I'm thinking of it for a Superb III, and am guessing that it'll be the same issue as with the II. Maybe just a power-amp and leave the head-unit.

Second part is can I install and remove a power amp without upsetting the leasing company?

Not sure about the second part.

But the first thing I did in my Superb was changing the stereo to from bolero to android one. I don't know if there are any 3rd party units that would fit SIII yet but I would say it's only a mater of time.

For some reason car manufactures started making stereos in odd shapes and sizes so that they are not easy to replace.

Even on mine FL superb the unit was awkward size but thankfully I just needed a stereo trim from pre-FL superb to sort it out.

Nos

Which did you go for and had it been ok? Any additional wiring or is it just plug and play?

I have the very basic 'swing' so don't have a digital aerial (that I aware of)
