How do i post the Autoscan?

Yes i read the above, but did not state if it would have to be coded by Skoda, or its done via VCDS, i presume the unit has to be coded (not via VCDS) if i get one thats not the same as the one currently fitted.

I presume the key can not be coded through VCDS.

Do you fancy a roadtrip Langers?

I do appreciate all the help, im just a little naffed that something as simple as a HID upgrade has totaled my car within 2 weeks of owning it.

Mike has covered adding your autoscan, it will give an overview of the entire car so we can suggest replacement part numbers from there.

VCDS can recode the remote part of the keys and you don't need to worry about the immobiliser as that is stored in the clusters.

The only tricky part is the lighting configuration, if the used part came from a FL vRS Octavia you are good and you should be able to fit and code using VCDS. If not, you need dealer equipment or VCP.

I'm part way through building a rig that will let me code/flash modules without needing them installed in a car so we might be able to it via post.

I have a J module in my part collection and have Vag Can Pro to set it up
