  • Think i'll save anyone the hassle.

  • For day to day, nothing really. Seemingly the advantage would be on tracks if you go over kerbs/ lift a front wheel

  • In answer to the original question, the bearings are pressed onto either end of the diff. Hence you'll likely stress them and possibly damage them when removing off the original. Plus they aren't too

As far as I'm aware jabba aren't dealing with peloquin anymore. They just deal with quaife iirc. Just darkside now unless there are smaller peloquin distributors in the UK.

Darkside website says the Peloquins are unavailable for purchase.

Their uk distributors seem to be dropping like flies then.

But for what it's worth, I think the quaife would be a very good choice, seems you have you're heart set on the wavetrac though

get a wavetrac m8 they tested them against the quaiff and the wavetrac found more time round a track also go for some federal semi slicks or 888's if you want to spend abit more

As far as I'm aware there are no wearable parts. Wavetrac state its maintenance free.

Here is the blurb on the Wavetrac.

Would an LSD be usefull when driving through snow or it is only for track use ?

It helps with traction in all conditions

Are there any downsides for installing one of those? Like..for tight turns, parallel parking or stuff like this ? Would the handling be affected?

Nope. Only down side is when it looses traction you know about it lol.

Yes, there is.

But people won't see it.

The diff will force both front wheels to turn in some circumstances, rather than spin one wheel.

This will mean the traction control won't get involved because it doesn't know there is a problem.

So low traction surface (very wet or icy) and you give it too much welly = front wheels spin and you don't go anywhere.  Or slide wide of where you were expecting.

So ideally you wouldn't want to fit one to a car of someone that doesn't know how to drive.

Because aggressive throttle use in very wet or icy conditions could lead to the car heading in a direction the driver wasn't expecting.

For fast road of track use I see the point.

For normal road use, I don't see the point.

Without factoring in the cost of over £1,000 fitted for the wavetrac.

So even though there is no mention of wearing parts/maintenance it will be the interchangeable plates that get worn?

Yes, there is.
