Rapid Instrument Cluster Lens

Featured Replies

Just bought a heavily vandalized rapid in need of some love and I'm mid process of getting it ready to get back on the road. One of the few things left needed is a lens for the instrument cluster - the original being smashed to pieces so I'm turning to you knowledgeable people for advice. Anyone know of a cheap way of locating one or am I going to have to buy a new cluster? Are there any other cars other than the rapid and the toledo that share this cluster?

Thanks for any help anyone can provide!

Wherever you get the cluster from, unless you plan on transferring the innards of the existing cluster into the new housing then you'll need to visit a dealer to get the whole thing coded correctly.

New cluster I'm afraid (or find a complete cluster at the breakers yard and try and remove the lens without breaking it). Not sold as a standalone part.

Do please post some pics of the car - it would be useful to see the extent of the damage, plus we would all be interested to see the transformation back into a roadworthy car.

Available separately on MK2 Octavia so there might be a chance of being available.

Not a Race Blue one is it lol.

Oh god, that's all we need is yours back from the dead.

I had a look at the exploded parts diagram and that suggests it is a single piece (complete cluster) rather a separate Perspex Lens to clip on the cluster.

Haha don't worry Chris it's still for sale at the Suzuki dealer.

Thanks everyone, much appreciated. It's corrida red so not the same one! Heavily keyed every panel, drivers window and rear window smashed (the two bricks came with the car), two slashed tyres, silver spray paint on the interior (seats, dash and doors) and exterior and a smashed lens and radio! I have some before pictures I'll upload, on my phone ATM. For now touching up the scratches with a scratch pen - it really needs painting though!

It's a 13 plate, sorry might be dense...ic number?

Had seen this just £75 seemed steep since I only want the plastic not the actual clocks! Was hoping there's a cheaper way.

Go to dealer... looks like lens is separate part... but I can't see part number...

Phew!  Jealous wife attack??

Doesn't look  like the part is available separately for the rapid.

I'm guessing! Sadly there was no note tied to the brick! Forgot to mention two rear lights smashed and the petrol flap booted clean off too!

Trust me, it is not available separately. The cluster is sold as one complete piece. The other item (1a) is the bezel surround, not the lens.

Ok, I trust you... ;)
