Change of alloys

Featured Replies

Just heard that "The Brand" want to change my wheels on the SE Business from the rather elegant Stratos to some disgusting 5 fat-spoke affair. I'm not at all impressed.

Has anyone else had this trouble?

  • Bigger wheels tend to mean higher emissions.... so will hurt company car drivers in the pocket. Unless, of course, software can deal with it!

  • Here is a couple of photos of my moon white with Helios alloys. Sorry about the bad phone camera quality http://aijaa.com/m6OHFd http://aijaa.com/aLJRn8

Whats 'The Brand' ?

Probably to Helios which is standard on SE.

Supply issues?

if they do this to me as well as make me wait until january im cancelling. will end up looking like a taxi.

More like a Taxi?

Less like a Private Hire car / Airport Transfer!

Like these ?

Exactly my thoughts and I've told them to hold the order.

Denying me beige leather was one thing, but deliberately spoiling an otherwise pretty car with these wheels is nuts!

I'm being told that "the original Stratos Weheels are no longer available"

I don't want 18" wheels and I don't want to pay for them either.

The fugly Helios or Zeus wheels look like the ones off matchbox cars.

I presume I could buy third-party wheels, but really...

As already asked above...

What's `The Brand`?

As per the photo "The Brand" is what they call Skoda UK - It does sound like that guy from The Apprentice, though!

Been told the same today along with a delay in build - from late November to late December.

Car will be on a lease. Considering cancelling if I am legally able to do it. Paid nothing so far.

Curious over what do you mean by "Denying me beige leather was one thing" ??

I've been told my order has been stuck since day 1 due to supply issues... specifically to do with the interior trim (beige / leather).

Those alloys look really good, are they the Zeus or Helios type?

The beige thing is that the Business is not available in beige leather (with the £200 upgrade) despite suggestions to the contrary on the configurator.

Sorry, I think I need to see these wheels in the flesh, otherwise it's close to a deal-killer for me - sounds sad, eh?

If some people like them, then good on them!

will end up looking like a taxi.

Or like a BMW :D :D :D

i wonder if they will discount the upgrade to 18" wheels my se business has stratos but not been informed of anything so far.

I don't want 18" wheels - the softer the ride the better as far as I'm concerned! I'll be interested to see if you really get Stratos. When's the build date?

I haven't been given a build date hoping it will be given at the end of this week, will be adding heated front seats tomorrow, hopefully this doesn't put things back

Is it possible to buy wheels as spare parts?
