Hello..

Just having a look at the brochure I got from the dealer which shows some additional 5 spoke 17 inch alloys for the se sport, but having looked online on the configurator and new pdf , it appears these are no longer a option. (Can't recall the name at the moment )

Are there any major changes between the my 15 and 16 cars? Has the sat have unit been updated to a touch screen now amubseden (same entry one as the octy and superb) ??

Does anyone have any photos of the led drls? Can't seem to find a photo and Google returns a lot of after market options

From the looks of it.. the below wheels are MY15 and before and the second photo are MY16 ?

The top ones (Rays) have been available on UK spec Sport hatchback since 2014, and as options on others.

 

The Savios below have I think been on the Black Edition Spaceback in 2014, and available as option.

 

The pictures off of foreign websites may not reflect UK spec - Xenon lights etc.

 

 

UK configurator does not show black Savios on the SE Sport.

In fact it shows Grey Savios but the menu page states that Camelots (5 spokes) are fitted

Thanks - looks like the RAYS have been dropped as an new build option looking at the PDF and online now

Yeah noticed the savios are a grey rather than a black .

Think I prefer the grey !

The major issue with your brochure photos is the fake stance and photoshopped arch gaps.

 

The MY16 changes do include 16 valve petrol engines with belts, vice 8 valve with chains, Different (I hesitate to say better) Satnav/media options, Different (same again) dials.

 

Changes to interior trim.  Deletion of 1.4 petrol DSG (except in SE Hatchback trim)

I have no idea why people buy these and the Toledo the interior quality is shocking. They need a major revamp.

The new 2015 has a more economical 1.2 tsi engine, or so they say? The other changes are minor cosmetics, not even a facelift yet. There are one or two ex demos coming through in new spec but it's also a good opertunity to get a really cheap nearly new pre cosmetic one. They are going for 10-11k from dealers with next to no miles on them.

They've been in build for some time.  There are at least 2 owners of 16MY Toledos on here.

I had 13 Reg Toledo,14 Reg Rapid,and now a MY16 65 Reg Toledo.I have not noticed any difference in build quality on all 3.They all seem to have been very well built.

I sat in one the other day and it felt as solid as a Polo or a Golf.

Trust me they aren't as well built as a polo, we owned a new polo for 3 years prior to this Rapid Sport and the Rapid is way cheaper. Having said that I actually really enjoy driving it. There's an honest feel about it, it's a bit like a car from the 70s or 80s, but with abs and air bags. The engine sounds great and it pulls really well without being super fast. It's clunky and there's little sound deadening, a bit like a mk2 escort and everyone loves them. I think all cars ordered now would be the new ones.

It is fun agreed.

That 1.2 has such huge tuning potential you can literally feel it high up in the Rev band when you hold it there.

That's why I love the 1.6vvt I got now as it comes very alive at 4K right up until 7100 rpm with no power drop off. It's great fun

If you like music the sound quality on the new Amundsen is better by a factor of many to the old one.

Having just had a Leon for a day, unfortunately the Nav on the new one is 5h1te. and the maxidot too.

Saw a Rapid Spaceback on the road today, first time in around 2 months... guess theres not many around!

 

Do all the cars in the range regardless of spec come on the 252 Suspension ?

rays have been accessory fit only in the uk on spacebacks since launch i believe, the other wheels (savios) are now standard fit on the SE sport model, you can still get rays but only as an accessory option
