Not having much joy so far. Spoke to a couple of main dealers and locksmiths to see if it can be removed so a replacement lock can be fitted. Haven't contacted Prof Svar manufacturer yet. Anyone had any success with this problem? Thanks very much.

Is there a number on the barrel?

If so, that will be the code for the key.

Mine is a Prof Svar detachable and the key is coded for 'easy' tracing later.

Success! Ordered a spare lock EEA 770 011 from Bickerton Skoda Sheffield. Tried one of the supplied keys but no joy. Had another key cut to make a you know what key which worked without modification! Just need to remove the tow ball lever to change the locks which looks like it's secured with a hollow pin.. Is this a stud extractor job?

Did you manage to change the lock? If so how did you remove the pin on the lever???

Sadly, Vrroomy has not visited since 2017 so is unlikely to read your post.  Since your problem is not Roomster specific, it might be worth posting in the 'General Maintenance' section where it should attract more attention.  Try to include as much detail about your tow bar as possible. Good luck 👍
