2006 Fabia vRS BLT Leather seats std never remapped

Featured Replies

Well I can't resist the temptation of a nearly new petrol vRS

So my cars potentially up for grabs

I actually really want to keep it too but this may cause problems for my parking on my drive which isn't the biggest and despite having space for 2 cars in front and one behind on a carport - which is reserved for a MG sports car I'm been given - you can't get both cars out the driveway easily and its quite confined driveway as it is! My wife parks on the road lol

Genuine ONE caring owner (me)

125K miles but will go up slightly as I use the car daily! This has been honest, turbo friendly motorway miles for most of it, and the engine shows for it.

The car itself:

  • BLT engine (supposed to be slightly higher tuning 150hp rather than 130hp ASZ model)
  • Recent brand new windscreen
  • Cruise control fitted when new
  • The somewhat sharper and rarer sprint yellow
  • Colour coded mirrors and door handles
  • Colour coded recaro seats! colour concept from a Golf MkIV which are awesome
  • Unmapped, and never mapped before, BLT so running 150hp and runs well
  • 17" spiders on Uniroyal RS3 Shark technology. To be fair the spiders could use a minor refurb but I could possibly do this next week I'm off.
  • (If you only want one set of wheels as the wheels must be worth £150 I could consider if anyone wants to buy those, provided they do I could drop the price accordingly?). Please note this does NOT mean I'm selling the 17 spiders and newish tyres separately, I mean the spare set (16s) if you don't want those.
  • Pioneer satnav dual din, only issue is I can't get FM radio working, but have a DAB plugging straight into the car.
  • Wash by hand normally ever week, but it does have age related paintwork issues due to miles and age, e.g a few bonnet chips that were painted, and had some dent repairs in the past, but you'd be hard pressed to notice. And one genuine stupid incident with me involving a work barrier.
  • Never ever been involved in any accidents (just the above typical genuine honest errors) and hence no CAT on the car either.
  • Still running original clutch and flywheel, to be honest seem to want to just keep going and going. Never failed so unlike other multiple owner cars with previous turbo failures, you can be clear there is nothing lurking in the pipework !
  • but comes with a spare Garrett Golf 130hp Turbo, fully serviceable and could be used for hybrid or just a spare? This spare needs a decoke before it can be used as standard I think but thats all so is a good spare and you could use as an insurance policy against
  • Recent gearbox oil change
  • Decoke of intake at 90k ish and then ran the bypass mod
  • Full early service history, though more recently I've done my own services ONLY using OEM genuine parts and oil which is all fully receipted for. My book is literally bulging at the seams with receipts.
  • Most unmodified with the exception of seat front splitter, the seats I mentioned, and also-
  • Lowered on HR springs and new sachs shocks at the time, not that long ago I think it was around 90-100k, fantastic for driving, note I think it could use some new rubberstops on the rear, I think it needs the lowered ones as it can be a bit squeaky occasionally not terribly so just sometimes when going on quite bumpy ground / speedbumps.
  • Care has been looked after in the usual respects for faults, e.g. I've already been through the alternator wiring loom failure, expansion tank failure and radiator failures, which have all been replaced for new ( the rad was within about a year ).
  • Lacquer has never peeled from the rear spoiler, its fine.
  • Full belt and pump work done x2 by Unit18, so not needed for a while.
  • New style badges all round, front rear and the wheels !

Photos now added, only obsfucated my plate to avoid scammers etc, I will happily give my plate to confirm genuine and no outstanding finance or accident history obviously to anyone genuinely interested in the car (come and have a look!)

Car is currently running still very sweetly and still looks like a pretty sweet car to be honest at the price I'm offering for. I haven't gone overboard and mapped the hell out of it etc, but in counter terms to this its a genuine lookafter 1 owner motor.

I'm not messing about with my pricing, as its possible the car I'm interested in could become available within a week.

Its a genuine car and I almost do just want to keep her

£3000 please (*price updated, one set of wheels only)

Photos to come

Sorry if I missed it - but what year is it?

EDIT: I knew it I missed it, haha.

Thanks, I almost don't want it to go too its been a great car to me and even the known faults haven't been awful and well documented here........almost as reliable as my 1.4mpi was ( that wanted for literally nothing except a battery). Oh that reminds me it did have a decent new battery a few ago.

I haven't explored the possibilities with GTB's etc and could make it more of the weekend car lol! But to be honest with a newer petrol vRS don't really need for the performance side (that does 0-60 in 6.6 seconds!)

+ Just to add, I forgot the console bushes were done as a matter of course by Unit 8 with the uprated X style firmer Seat  bushes.

I actually obtained ARB bushes to be done as well, but was told they don't really need doing so just spare in case.

Price updated: £3000 and I'm not talking about OEM wheels now, just to simplify ( I will sell these seperately later if the car sells).

I don't think I'm going any lower now, its exactly bang on the wisebuyers price guiding (not something you can say about a lot of cars for sale I know I've been looking!),

At this point I'm well prepared to keep the car for fun, and for chucking miles on, its pocket money price which is so little I'm not bothered about just keeping the car for my own needs having known the car from scratch.

I think I will withdraw this ad now, so no longer for sale, due to lack of interest and I'm not going any lower for now, will just keep the car running

( who wouldn't keep it ! I bought the car, know the car and its worth far more to me knowing its full history than any other mk1 mapped or modified or not ).
