Any models with tilt adjust seats?

Featured Replies

Is there any way to get tilt adjustment on the seat base without paying for electric seats? I test drove an SE Business which didn't have it - but does the SE L or vRS have tilt adjust?

Funny, I was just thinking the same last night, my new Scout doesn't have it and I think it would be a nice to have.

Nope...you need electric seats for base tilt on the Octavia.

Also the added benefit of 4 way pneumatic lumbar support on the seats in place of the in/out manual lever affair that certainly doesnt work all that well on my car.

Having electric seats IMHO it's worth it.

Yep agreed. Makes it extra handy whenever herself has driven and we can recall a position for seats and mirrors with a button. I believe you can even code it to a fob but not tried it.

Is probably one reason to order a 230 at the moment...standard kit on those.

+1 on electric seats, it also provides auto dipping of the passenger door mirror to help with those kerbs

Yeah,i miss the tilt option. no matter how i try to adjust the seat i dont feel i get the correct position. so far the seats are the only thing that i dont like on my car...still hoping i will get used to the seats but so far my back is giving me pain if i drive more than an hour..

surprised me that my 07 Toyota Avensis had more comfortable seats than the brand New skoda.

I am wondering if i'll live to regret getting a Golf GTD over a Passat GT 150 TDI as a company car....dynamically the Golf trounces the Passat, its quicker and more fun but......as good as the seats are in the Golf (in that they are firm, massively bolstered and have lumbar supports) I think I could have really done with the ergocomfort seats they fit in the passat. Tilt and thigh extension support as well as 4 way lumbar would have been a godsend with the mileage I cover....the Golf does have heated seats though which Id always written off as a nice to have than necessity but since Ive had the car Ive had it on almost permanently on hottest or 2nd stage setting.....really does help the back without getting at all uncomfortable in our current climate.

Golf Electric seat option available in Germany without leather, not like in UK. I drove a Golf GTD leather + electric seat in UK last year. Seat adjustment was spot on for me. Car had 19" rims, horrible ride. Also tried with 18" wheels, didn`t find standard seats comfortable at all. My Octavia 2 VRS seats so much better.

I emailed VW UK MD (just before emission issue) to check if they would supply as a special order progressive steering to UK Golf + R (std in Germany) . No reply to my letter. Asked Seat if I could have Cupra seats in a Leon FR, no problem if required, just pay for option.

At least it's better than the Audi lumber options. 4 way electric or nothing.

The 4 way is, I agree, much better than the manual option, however that is much better than nothing that you get on the Audi standard seats.

I also like ergocomfort seats, I wish I could buy them, but they would probably be too expensive anyway.
