Karl's Midweek Detail - Definitive Wax Review

Featured Replies

I'm really impressed with it. It's still holding up well on the vRS at the moment which is good! Glad you enjoyed the sample too!

The Definitive Wax stuff really is impressive, Decon88 is another product I'm really happy with.

They had to be really careful, for me. They sell very highly regarded and expensive waxes. If they released even a mediocre line of products to their line, it would have been a disaster. It's great that they pulled it off!

Another heads up from today chaps.

Jason at Definitive Wax has release in the last hour that Defintiive will be releasing a PH Neutral Snow Foam'.

I will post more details regarding the product when I see it! If the other products are anything to go by, it will be a cracker!

I would imagine, like all their other products, that it will be bang on. Thanks for posting Karl. I must get over to their shop when I'm in Norwich next!

Eyup buddy,

The weekend was awful for detailing. Really annoyed me as SWMBO was working so had plenty of time on my hands although I wasn't too well.

Car was looking rather unloved so needed a clean!

I say nowt - but i did some organising/arranging in the garage;

and put the frost defenses in place for the detailing products.

Hi All,

Thought to post up a few updates on Defintive wax.

First been the new pots arriving shortly to DWHQ. 55ML pots will be available according to Jason. I'm guessing they'll be a bit more affordable too and will offer all the range bar Number One. 9bca530509a05982a1c16c03e3516d44.jpg

Also, I really like the look of these! The double ended piston!! Able to hold 2 waxes of your choice! 5eaa3905f78f0bf008f8f673155351c6.jpgcc36868cf9ecbeef90c3a9b013e56053.jpg

I'll update as soon as I know anything on the 55ML pots. Also a new wax to be come available soon called 'Ulysees' (spelling may not be correct)

Thanks.

Karl.

So, the 55ML pots were ready for sealing last night as seen on the Facebook group! I'm still waiting for Jason to release prices on these but they look great & I'm sure they'll be reasonably priced!

I myself would love to collect the whole range in the 55ML pots & put into a show case... OCD I know haha!

Cheers

I'm sorted for my DW collection - but its nice to see the 55ml sample pot option.

Perhaps it will encourage a few more to try it out....

It's a great addition to the fleet no doubt about it! I just wish he would release the prices!

Are you going for the double billet at £300 notes At all [emoji12]

Not for me Karl; still putting money in the car upgrade fund where possible. ;)

Only purchase i would like to make is the BMD COSMOS release perhaps....

Likewise, I couldn't part with £300 for a wax I don't think!

BMD COSMOS is showing promising results at the moment on other forums.

Been meaning to try a few blends of BMD - particularly the show wax.

You definitely need to borrow BMD Nemesis at some point ;)

I know AlanR36 loved that blend - so you will not be disappointed mate

Defintive wax are soon to be releasing their first snow foam!

I was fairly sceptical on the fact they had not strayed away from waxes but tried their hand at decon products etc. Every product I've tried from DW has been tip top!

I'll be placing an order for the snow foam & review in due course.

I know a lot don't buy defintive stuff but like to keep all you cleaning addicts in the loop ;)

Thanks for the info Karl.

One negative from DW - they have dropped support for Paypal.

This is a bit of a shame; as this is my preferred payment method.

I think it's now World Pay only.

I don't have any experience on this one.... anyone on here got info good or bad?

Yeah I saw that info. Not something I've had any experience with!

Thought to update this thread with a recent arrival!

Thankyou to Stephen and family for the very thoughtful gesture of a birthday/wedding present I now have a new pot of Defintive Wax! No.18 of 36 Ascari. The date of my birthday & day i got married. A blend between the popular CORA and outstanding SHOW.

The scent is a fruity I believe and smells great! Quite an oily blend which spreads for miles! Left to cure for 15 minutes & buffed off effortlessly!

A fantastic addition to my growing wax collection and a fantastic gift to receive! Thankyou!

The pictures look great & leaves the paint looking wet!

That looks ace Karl. And a great gift from Ste & Family!

A cross breed between Show and Cora sounds interesting. Is it the best of both worlds?

Thanks Neil. It really was a great gift. Especially with the number of the pot too!

Best of both worlds I would say yes. Unsure of durability on this one but I've seen a good 3/4 months from Cora through winter with good maintenence.

The gloss levels you get from show really show up in this wax too. It's a pleaser thats for sure!

Stunning results there Karl - the vRS looks stunning.... as always.
