Karl's Midweek Detail - Definitive Wax Review

That's smart!! I looked at a white one in Bradford but the condition for the milage was atrocious. I took it for a belt and went home lol.

I went to ripon to view a blue one and someone had bought it 30 minutes before I got there. Manchester for a black one but dealer wouldn't budge on price & I got the green one in Sheffield. Perfect price. Mint condition. 3 years old, covered 12,000 miles from new. Fell in love haha.

No not at all mate! The more the merrier! Paint looks flawless on that!

Out of curiosity, what made you sell for a MK1?

I sold it for a Toyota GT86 which I did like but lacked power in my opinion. I missed the DSG too. Lovely car though. Had to sell that as moved into a flat with the Mrs so had to start paying bills :( ha.

The mk1 was a good compromise for me on power/economy and also price. I couldn't get a MK2 in my price range at that time.

Ah right! I do like the GT86 but yeah, they're not turbo charged so do seem a bit sluggish, a friend has one but loves his.

I'm moving out with the missus soon, told her I'll do with out food and warmth if it means I keep the car.. her face - if looks could kill lol!

It's mad how much they have dropped in price of late. A few months the 13/14 plate was going for a touch over 12k. The prices on auto trader now compared are peanuts!

That shot is terrific. At first I wondered why it was with all the others, as no sign of the car!

That's some reflection you have there, love the shot of the roof. I'd love mine to be half as good as that.

Absolutely stunning finish Karl - glad you managed to get some detailing done today

I decided on the pub option today as the weather was pretty awful; but nothing better than

seeing Definitive Show Edition put to good use on such lovely paint work.... awesome!

Those paddles look good, I'm glad they've gone to a good home instead of sitting around in my garage. Your fabia is putting mine to shame at the moment. If the weather is decent tomorrow I will have to give it a good scrub

Sorry to go off topic again, I nearly bought a GT86 but the pratt of a salesman kept me waiting for an hour, ( test drive booked ) then said Its a bit rush hour traffic now, 3pm! you should have come earlier!  :x  so bought the R36 instead, don't regret it, then when Sarah was looking at the just released Rav4, he came over, and said we could do a test drive straight away, he did not recognise me but was drooling over my car , and I said if we were going to buy it would be  from one of your colleagues not you as you thought I was a tyre kicker and could not afford the Gt85.

I had them on my Octavia....BUT they caught the stalks slightly when using full lock for parking

Looked good though

I doubt the Taxi driver who now owns my Octavia uses them
