Looking at getting these

Anyone had any experience with these? These are the best I can find in my budget range and the correct size

I'm driving such tyres right now (195/65/15). Bought the car with them on. There were like ~5,5 mm one one axle and 3,5 mm left on another.

Wear rate: I've driven more than 20k km and there are ~2 mm and ~4mm (only very approximate measurements) left (I'm not a race driver, though :)). Seems like it will be enough for another summer.

I drive them only in summer and therefore I won't be able to tell you about their performance in wintertime. In little mud they act nice because the tread is rough enough.

Grip is good in booth dry and wet.

There are 2 bad things though:

1) there is some weird noise. I got a feeling that it might be related to poorly balanced tyre (I did it again but with no success). Maybe the tyre was driven inflated before. Who knows. So, you can skip this because it might be related to my tyre only :)

2) they aren't cheap. There are always cheaper ones.

I buy/use budget tyres all the time, wear and grip no worse/ better than Continentals costing 3 times as much.

Depends how you drive and/ or if your brand name only buyer/ user.

Still want replacing every 15,000 miles on the front as normal..

Depends on:

1) what do you buy;

2) how much do you drive;

3) what do you expect from them.

Some cheap tyres can provide poor perfomance. My colleague doesn't want to think about buying Westlake tyres again. A friend of mine would choose summer tyres in winter better than certain Tigar winter tyres. In the meantime a relative of mine can't name worse summer tyres than certain Pirelli (!!!! ) ones.

Now I realised that creator of topic needs tyres for Citigo. I guess that annual mileage is rather low and these tyres could last for many years. In the end they will have lost all the qualities and will be simple, hard rubber. Might be better to buy some cheaper ones but change them after some years. Those expensive ones usually have potential to last long and that's the solution for ones who drive at least some 15k km per year

I put exactly the same size of those on SWMBO's i10. The tyres are fine, but squeal a bit when pushed hard on roundabouts! There is an Gen 2 version of those tyres just out, at around £5/corner more, which has done well in some of the recent winter vs all season vs summer tests**

Your budget will also get you Nokian Weatherproofs in that size, which I think are better than the 4Seasons - though unless you're going to be travelling up for more Yorkshire meets might be a bit overkill for the South Coast!

Cheers for all the replies :) I've done about 8500 miles so far this year and because of the Citigo's low performance I was looking for a tyre that can handle well in the corners as that's where the Citigo shines, I'll give it a few more days to decide on whether to get them or not

In a bizarre turn of events I'll be now probably sticking them on Winters, I have new wheels awaiting to go on after being refurbished so it makes sense to use my old ones as winters

Hardly budget lol. They were the most expensive ones when i bought mine for the fab, but theyre good.

Grip is plenty, never had the ABS kick in other than on snow.

They grip really well, but when it comes to the corners, they arent as sharp and precise as a full summer tyre when pushing on.

In the snow theyre good.. But not as good as getting a narrower set of wheels (the fabia is 195 55 r15's) and putting winters on them. Narrower is better!

Im happy with them though! Much quieter than the Bridgestone Turanzas too!
