I have a set of H&R springs for my Monte, I tried to fit them today but the top of the spring won't fit the top mount it is too small to locate properly into the spring cup at the top of the strut, the lower part locates in the strut fine. Has anyone had this problem ?

Are those definitely H+R springs? The h+r I put on our Fabia were painted purple.

I'd check the part numbers are correct. When I bought a set h+r put the wrong springs in the box when they mailed them out!

Yeah that's a point, my H&R's were a dark blue/purple colour

Problem is they're the VRS lowering springs.  I bought some for mine (being the VRS) and they're are that colour.

 

Not sure if yours is 1.2td or 1.6td but these are yours...hence why the two posts above said they are blue/purple.

Your vRS h+r springs are black rather than the powder coated bluey purple?

I know the eibachs are black but assumed all the h+r's for Fabias were the blue/purple colour...

The H&R's I had on my VRS estate where the same colour as the one pictured... strange!
