Front grill removal

Featured Replies

HI, a pheasant decided to commit suicide on my vrs front bonnet grill. The black plastic grill and also chrome surround are damaged. The local main dealer said he could get the surround but not the grill alone, told me i need to get a whole new bumper??

I understand the grill is bonded to the bumper, has anyone easily removed/replaced the grill and surround without replacing the whole bumper?

I read you can remove the old bits by snapping them out and breaking the mounts. As they are already broken i might be able to do this but i dont want to damage the bumper. If i get the bumper removed is it just a matter of cutting the bonding then popping the old grill out?

Anyone who has upgraded the grill to the superskoda honeycomb replacement how did you do this?

Does anyone have the OEM part number for the grill and surround?

This is for my 2014 vrs hatchback.

Cheers.

Hi guys,

I've got a facelift 230 and wanted the gloss black grille from the 245, so I've ordered the 60 EUR gloss black grille and the 99 EUR, 245 challenge gloss black surround.

From reading up it sounds like replacing the entire grille unit is not doable?!

Is this the case? I'll cancel the order for the inner grille if so

Verry old post but i ordered new grille 2 with black surrounding and if you look at this video on Yt from Germany it seems that gill is clipped in place not welded in. My car is Octavia MK3 Facelift 2019

I kind a **** my pants when i heard that i need to weld it in
